Retired Show Dogs & Oldies

The following photos are of our wonderful retired Show Dogs and oldies.  Some of them still live with us and others are happily retired as much loved pets with their forever families.

Aust Ch Lochrin Torchwood - "Torchy"

Sire: Aust Ch Craigend Connquian

Dam: Lochrin In A Flurry

Torchy showing as a young dog.                              Showing as a Veteran Dog.

What Torchy likes to do now !!

Torchy is the sweetest, funniest, naughtiest and smartest little cairn I've ever owned.  She is the easiest dog I've shown and has had much success in the Show Ring.  She achieved her Title many years ago and has won many group awards, some under both local and UK breed specialists.  She finished her Show Career by winning Best Veteran In Show at the NSW Champ Show in 2014 under UK cairn specialist Ms Ruth Parker-Tucker (Uniquecottage) and Best Veteran Bitch at the Victorian Cairn Specialty in 2015 under UK cairn specialist, Mrs Linda Firth.  But enough of the Show stuff!

Destroyer of toys, shredder of blankets, chaser of rabbits and lover of Teddy Bears, Torchy can leap over high obstacles with a single bound and climb 10 foot fences with ease.  She also gives the best cuddles and is the best companion you could ever have.  As you have probably guessed - she is our favourite.

Here are a few recent retirees -

Lastly, here are a couple of cairns who were an important part of our Kennel -

Aus Ch Rebelglen Concerto - "Phoebe"

Born in 1998, Phoebe passed away in February 2015, just short of 15 years of age.  She was a wonderful companion and Show Dog and achieved many In Group and In Show awards.  In her later years she was most happy sleeping by the fire and keeping the young ones in line.  Sadly missed, and never forgotten.  Rest in peace old girl.

Lochrin Super Sandra - "Tubs"

Tubs was one of our foundation bitches at Lochrin.  In her early days she enjoyed the country life with my business partner, Maureen McMahon.  Later she lived in happy retirement with her owners in the city.  Rest in peace Tubsie.
